Airport transfers with kids and luggage
A family arrival is a different job from a solo traveller with a carry-on. Tired children, car seats and a boot full of bags are exactly where a private transfer earns its keep, as long as the details are sorted before the plane lands.
Tell us about child seats when you book
Child car seats available on request — $20 per seat, added on top of the transfer fare. Choose the number of seats in the booking form, add the children's ages in the booking notes, and we confirm the arrangement before your travel date, so the seat is fitted when you reach the car rather than sorted out in the car park.
Luggage space is confirmed in advance
One vehicle carries up to four passengers with luggage. We confirm luggage space against your passenger and bag numbers when you book, so mention prams, portacots or surfboards up front. For bigger families or two households travelling together, we plan more than one movement with you before you book.
Met inside the terminal
Your driver waits inside the terminal near the baggage claim with your name on a sign and helps with the bags to the car. With children in tow, not having to find a taxi rank or a rideshare pickup zone is most of the value.
We monitor the flight, so a delay does not mean a stranded driver or a rebooked car.
Which airport suits a family?
- Ballina Byron Gateway (BNK): the shortest drive, about 35 minutes to Byron Bay, fixed fare $89.
- Gold Coast (OOL): about 50 minutes to Byron Bay, fixed fare $179.
- Brisbane (BNE): about 2 hours 5 minutes to Byron Bay, fixed fare $439, and one vehicle the whole way instead of a domestic connection.
- Every fare is per vehicle, not per passenger, with 10% off the return leg on a return booking.
Frequently asked questions
Do you provide child seats? Yes. Child car seats are available on request — $20 per seat, on top of the transfer fare. Select them in the booking form, include the children's ages when you book and we confirm before your travel date.
Is the fare per person? No. Fares are per vehicle, so a family of four pays the same as a single traveller on the same route.
